PURPOSE

We are a community of believers in Jesus Christ called to know, glorify, and enjoy the Triune God.  Through Christ and by the Holy Spirit’s empowerment, we seek to love God, his people, and the world.

We express this love by following all aspects of Christ’s Great Commission to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).

OBJECTIVES

Worship God joyfully and reverently (Psalms 95:1-7, 100:1-5; John 4:23-24; Hebrews 12:28-29).

Provide biblical, Christ-centered preaching that encourages the hearers to serve and honor God in all of life (Nehemiah 8:5-8; Luke 24:25-27; Acts 2:42; 2 Timothy 3:16-4:2).

Integrate each member into the fellowship and service of our church community (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 John 1:3-7).

Promote and provide care for one another in our church family (Acts 2:44-45, 20:28-31; 1 Peter 5:1-4; 1 Corinthians 12:21-26).

Provide effective Christian education to equip members of our congregation to live out their faith and to be able to articulate it clearly (Deuteronomy 6:1-9; Proverbs 22:6; Matthew 28:20).

Help others to understand the Christian faith and embrace Jesus Christ as he is presented in the Bible (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:7-8; 1 Peter 3:15).

Help those outside our congregation who are in need as God gives us the ability and opportunity (Proverbs 19:17; Micah 6:8; Luke 4:18-19, 10:25-37; James 1:27, 2:14-17).

Promote unity among Christians especially by working together with our presbytery, denomination, and other churches of like faith (1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Ephesians 4:1-7; 2 Corinthians 8:1-15).
